(German) 'Abitur' at the Stiftisch-Humanistisches Gymnasium Mönchengladbach. Subsequent one-year stay abroad in Omagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
From 2004, studied English/American Studies and History at Bielefeld University, Szczecin (PL) and the EMAU Greifswald.
Thesis on historical culture and revisionism (the Oettinger/Filbinger affair and the CDU) and on the capabilities approach as a basis for a rethought theory of professionalised teacher action according to Oevermann.
Since 2010 teacher at the Erich Kästner comprehensive school (Bünde), senior teacher at the integrated comprehensive school and secondary school Melle-Buer. Since 2025 secondary school teacher at Gellershagen secondary school as public relations officer.
