Current research topics

The research interests consist of family support systems and the role of sibling relationships in times of crisis. One focus is on analysing family support during social stresses such as the COVID-19 pandemic, with particular attention being paid to cultural and religious contexts. Qualitative case studies are used to analyse the dynamics of family solidarity, particularly in families with a migration background. The focus is on questions of cultural identity, integration and dealing with multiple challenges.
