Curriculum Vitae
Born in Rheine in 1958. Lives in Recklinghausen. Studied English and German language and literature in Münster from 1979 to 1985. 1986 to 1988 trainee teacher for secondary level II. 1988 to 1990 DAAD language assistant at the University of Ulster in Coleraine/Northern Ireland. From 1990 to 2022 teacher of German and English at Berufskolleg Ostvest in Datteln.
Founded the literary magazine "Am Erker" in 1977 (together with Michael Kofort), since then co-publisher and editor. Extensive reviewing activities (especially crime fiction) for the weekly newspaper "der freitag" and the online magazine "culturmag.de". Member of the jury for the German Crime Fiction Prize.
