Make an appointmentJohn Grosser has been a researcher at the Department of Health Economics and Health Management at the School of Public Health since October 2020. He previously completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in mathematics at the Technical University of Dortmund, specialising in partial differential equations. His introduction to health science was a further Master's degree in Bioethics and Medical Humanities at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. There, he developed a framework for the ethical assessment of national healthcare systems. He is currently completing two Master's programmes (Sociology and Philosophy) at Bielefeld University in parallel to his work in health economics.
Before coming to Bielefeld, John Grosser worked as a teaching and research assistant in mathematics, bioethics and health economics. He has also worked on energy issues in Europe, particularly in Germany and the Western Balkans, as a student trainee and intern.
