Researcher
I am a geographer and sociologist and have been working at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence (IKG) at Bielefeld University since October 2021. There, I am co-project leader and coordinator of the collaborative research project "Spaces of Migration Society" (RäuMig). Together with PD Dr. Jeannine Wintzer, University of Bern (Switzerland), I chair the working group Qualitative Methods in Geography.
April to June 2021: Fellowship of the Schader Residence, Schader Foundation Darmstadt.
Summer semester 2021: Marsilius temporary professor for Human Geography of North America and Urban Geography at the Department of Geography, University of Heidelberg.
Winter semester 2020/2021: Temporary professor for Human Geography at the Department of Geography, University of Heidelberg
2019 to 2020: Research assistant in the profile line "migration societies" at Osnabrück University
2013 to 2019: Research assistant at the Institute of Geography at the University of Bremen.
2010 to 2012: PhD scholarship holder at the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology (Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology) at Bielefeld University.
2007 to 2010: Research Associate in Cluster(s) of Excellence 16 "Cultural Basis of Integration" at the University of Konstanz.
2000 to 2007: Studies of Sociology, Modern German Literature, Philosophy and Theoretical Linguistics at the Universities of Konstanz and Växjö (Sweden)
