English Studies: Postcolonial Studies in Bielefeld

The project "English Studies: Postcolonial Studies in Bielefeld" was initiated by Prof. Dr Ellen Grünkemeier as part of the "Freiraum in der Lehrentwicklung" programme of the "Innovation in University Teaching" foundation. "Free space" is a central theme of the project, as the aim is to utilise free space and offer students the opportunity to move away from theoretical learning and towards active, action-oriented learning. The project relies on student creativity and cooperation with civil society initiatives in Bielefeld. The students should critically scrutinise their everyday lives for colonial continuities.
