Michael Winklers „Kritik der Pädagogik“ bietet einen systematischen Durchgang durch das Grundproblem Pädagogik und die Problemstruktur des Pädagogischen. Dies geschieht zu dem nicht nur unter der Übernahme einer kritisch-(emanzipativen) Perspektive, vielmehr bietet er auch eine Zustandsbeschreibung dieses Paradigmas. In einem kenntnisreichen Durchgang erschließt er so nicht nur aktuelle pädagogische Provokationen, sondern vielmehr die Provokation des Pädagogischen. Es entsteht ein Buch, welches zu jedem Zeitpunkt der eigenen Entwicklung im pädagogischen Bereich mit Gewinn gelesen werden kann, da es einem zu dem beständig dabei hilft, das eigene Selbstverständnis zu thematisieren und so zu hinterfragen.
