Die Laborschule Bielefeld ist nicht nur eine der bekanntesten deutschen Reformschulen der Gegenwart, sie ist darüber hinaus durch ihren Standort und ihren Status als „staatliche Versuchsschule“ bis heute untrennbar mit Geschichte und Konzept der Universität Bielefeld verbunden. Dies wollen wir im Seminar zum Anlass nehmen, uns intensiv sowohl mit der Entstehungs- und Entwicklungsgeschichte der Laborschule, als auch mit ihrem erziehungswissenschaftlichen und pädagogischen Konzept auseinanderzusetzen. Neben der Lektüre entsprechender Texte werden wir dabei ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die pädagogische Praxis der Schule im Umgang mit Heterogenität richten: So werden wir die Laborschule nicht nur direkt „vor Ort“ besuchen, sondern zugleich gezielt einzelne Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern in unser Seminar einladen, um diese von ihrem alltäglichen „Leben mit Unterschieden“ berichten zu lassen.

Für eine „Aktive Teilnahme“/Studienleistung wird eine regelmäßige Anwesenheit und Mitarbeit in den Seminarsitzungen, die Lektüre von Texten zur Vorbereitung sowie die Bearbeitung einer kürzeren schriftlichen Aufgabe erwartet. Möglichkeiten zur Absolvierung einer benoteten oder unbenoteten Modulprüfung werden in der ersten Seminarsitzung erläutert.
