Das Seminar dient dem Überblick einerseits über die zentralen Phasen und Ereignisse der römischen Geschichte sowie andererseits über die Entwicklung der römischen Philosophie, wie sie die Grundlage für eine adäquate Beschäftigung mit den Texten der römischen Antike bilden.
