Das Projekt wird wahlweise auf Deutsch oder Englisch gegeben.
In this project, students work on the motor control of a popular inline machine transport system, the ‘eXtended Transport System’ (XTS).
The mobile movers on the XTS are moved to the motor part using a constant current pattern. However, this is not optimal for all scenarios.
To improve the efficiency of the system, the students apply machine learning methods to the motor current control. The aim is to find optimal current patterns for the system for different scenarios (motion dynamics, weights, different types of trajectories).
The students spend most of their time working on an XTS in our laboratory.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
