In der Erziehungswissenschaft wird Kindheit und Jugend meist als anthropologisch konstante Entwicklungs- und Erziehungskindheit konzipiert. In diesem Seminar werden wir uns dem Phänomen „Kindheit“ aus der Perspektive der (sozialwissenschaftlichen) Kindheitsforschung nähern. Diese verweist auf einen (historischen) Wandel des Musters moderner Kindheiten, erforscht Kindheit als strukturelle Lebenslage und kulturelle Lebensweise und fordert „Kinder als Akteure“ ernst zu nehmen. Im Seminar erarbeiten wir uns verschiedenen Ansätze und Forschungszugänge der Kindheitsforschung anhand von exemplarischen Studien. Ziel des Seminars ist es auf der Grundlage von Forschungsbefunden zu Kindern und Jugendlichen in Bildungs- und Erziehungsinstitutionen, im öffentlichen Raum oder in der Familie unser Verständnis von Kindheit zu erweitern und kritisch zu hinterfragen. Ziel des Seminars ist es Grundlagenwissen zu erarbeiten, vor dessen Hintergrund auch die (sozial)pädagogische Praxis und die Konstruktionen ihrer Adressat*innen (z.B. in Konzeptionen und Leitbildern) reflektiert und analysiert werden können.

Studienleistungen (SL) können durch seminarbegleitende, teilweise innerhalb des Seminars erbrachte Abgaben, Gruppenarbeiten, kurzen Reflexionsimpulsen erbracht werden.
Prüfungsleistungen können entweder im Rahmen des Verfassens eines Essays oder im Rahmen einer mündlichen Prüfung erbracht werden.
