In der Veranstaltung geht es darum, wie kulturelle Differenzen (Spannungen und Harmonien) filmisch inszeniert und aufgearbeitet werden. Gesehen und diskutiert werden folgende Filme: "Yall yalla", "Nenn mich einfach Axel", "Zwei kleine Helden", "1, 2, 3", "Kebab Connection" und "Wut". Ein Tag der Blockveranstaltungswoche widmet sich Kinderfilmen, und eine Filmvorführung findet im Bielefelder Kino "Lichtwerk" statt.
Von den Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern wird eine aktive Mitarbeit in Gruppen- und Plenumsarbeit erwartet.
Veranstaltet wird das Seminar in Kooperation mit dem Deutschen Kinder- und Jugendfilmzentrum in Remscheid.
