Im Modul werden flächenbezogene Arten und Biotoptypendaten in fiktiven Beispielprojekten erhoben. Die Artenlisten werden unter Verwendung einschlägiger Bestimmungsliteratur aufbereitet und eine Zuordnung zu Biotoptypen vorgenommen. Die räumlichen Daten werden in einem Geoinformationssystem verarbeitet, analysiert und kartographisch visualisiert.
Der geplante Eingriff wird nach gängigen landschaftsplanerischen Beurteilungssystemen und -kriterien in Bezug auf die ökologische Bedeutung der betroffenen Flächen bewertet. Schließlich werden die Ergebnisse unter Verwendung des erarbeiteten Kartenmaterials präsentiert.Ein eigenes Modul für die Veranstaltung wird zur Zeit formal eingerichtet. Die formale Zuordnung als Spezialmodul wird voraussichtlich zu Beginn des Sommersemesters durchgeführt. Die bisherige Zuordnung ist nur eingefügt worden, um die Sichtbarkeit im eKVV sicherzustellen. Die Veranstaltung deckt die Module Taxonomie und Diversität und Populationsbiologische Freilandmethoden NICHT ab sondern stellt ein eigenes Modul dar.
