Travestie und Parodie sind Gattungen oder Verfahren einer "Literatur auf zweiter Stufe" (Genette), bei denen Einzeltexte, Schreibmuster oder Lesererwartungen transformiert und konterkariert werden, um Komik zu erzeugen oder Kritik zu üben. Die Vorlesung wird nicht nur in die Theorie, sondern auch in die Geschichte der Travestie und Parodie von der Antike bis zum Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts einführen.

Empfohlene Forschungsliteratur:

  • Gérard Genette: Die Literatur auf zweiter Stufe. Frankfurt a.M. 1993.
  • Theodor Verweyen / Gunther Witting: ''Die Parodie in der neueren deutschen Literatur: Eine systematische Einführung.''Darmstadt 1979.
