Wirklich berühmt geworden ist Brecht als Dramendichter und Theatertheoretiker, als Autor des epischen Theaters. Dafür gibt es gute Gründe. Aber Brecht war auch ein herausragender Lyriker, ein Gedichte-Macher. Die 'Hauspostille' ist als Band berühmt, der 'Radwechsel' als einzelner Text. Es ließen sich aber noch viele andere finden, auch sehr offenherzige, denn Brecht war auch ein Liebesdichter und Erotomane (Augsburger Sonette). Brecht ist nicht nur der große Politische. Und manche Gedichte sind essentieller Bestandteil der Dramen, als Lieder, vertont von Weill. Das Seminar will einen Streifzug machen, die Seeräuber-Jenny hätte es einen Beutezug genannt. Einmal quer durch das lyrische Werk, aber notwendig exemplarisch, immer eng am Text.
