Die Berufsfeldbezogene Praxisstudie (Berufsfeldpraktikum) als Verknüpfung von Theorie und Praxis umfasst eine durch ein universitäres Lehr-Lernarrangement vorbereitete und begleitete Praxisphase und entspricht vier LP (plus ein LP für die schriftliche Ausarbeitung des Praktikumsberichts). Die Praxisphase wird als Tagespraktikum, als Blockpraktikum in einer Schule oder als außerschulisches Angebot absolviert. Dabei sollen die Studierenden im Hinblick auf ihre zukünftige Tätigkeit als Lehrerinnen bzw. Lehrer ihr Wahrnehmungsvermögen bzw. Handlungsrepertoire gewinnbringend erweitern.
Im Rahmen von Bildungs- und Erziehungsprozessen sind die Aspekte Förderung und Umgang mit Heterogenität und binnendifferenzierte Maßnahmen im Biologieunterricht, wobei Aspekte der Inklusion explizit berücksichtigt werden sollen, immer enthalten. Bei allen Praxisstudien muss ein biologiedidaktischer Handlungsbezug erkennbar und im Praktikumsbericht begründet sein. Das Tagespraktikum findet wöchentlich mit 2,5 SWS Kontaktzeit statt. Dieses Praxisstudienformat umfasst einen Gesamtworkload von 120 Stunden.
