Transgene Pflanzen: Schrecken und Hoffnung, millionenschwerer Markt und unverzichtbares Werkzeug der Grundlagenforschung. Thema dieses Kurses sind die Grundlagen der Herstellung und Untersuchung von genetisch veränderten Pflanzen. Nach einer Einführung in die Methoden des direkten und des Vektor-vermittelten DNA-Transfers (Protoplastentransfektion, Agrobakterium-Transformation) soll die Integration und Segregation von Fremd-DNA in Pflanzen nachgewiesen, sowie die Expression von Fremdgenen auf RNA, Protein und Produktebene analysiert werden.
