3. Demokratische Republik – am Beispiel Deutschland (1919-1933)
4. Demokratische Republik – am Beispiel Österreichs (1919-1938)
5. Die III. französische Republik (1871-1939)
6. Die Kontinuität der parlamentarischen Monarchie in GB (Schwerpunkt: Vom "Parliament Act" 1911 zur Abdankung Edward VIII 1936)
7. Die kommunistische Alternative in der UdSSR (seit 1917)
8. Rechtsautoritäre Diktaturen in Europa in den 20er und 30er Jahren: Transformation und Ende europäischer Republiken
9. Die Verfassung des NS-Staates
10. Eine Rückschau: NS (Deutschland, Kommunismus (UdSSR), parlamentarische Demokratie (USA, GB) als Alternativen

Das Grundlagenseminar richtet sich an Studierende aller Fakultäten, vornehmlich im Grundstudium. Es können Kleine und Große Grundlagenscheine sowie Schlüsselqualifikationen erworben werden. Interessierte Studierende anderer Fachrichtungen können nach Maßgabe ihrer Studienordnungen teilnehmen. Eine Liste mit Einführungsliteratur ist am LS vorhanden. Die Veranstaltung findet als Blockseminar statt.
