Michael Kleeberg (geb. 1959) ist weit über seine Generation hinaus einer der maßgeblichen Autoren der deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsliteratur. Seine zahlreichen Erzählungen, Romane und Essays zeigen ihn in ihrem weiten Spektrum als einen ebenso formbewussten wie streibaren Autor, der sich mit den gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen der heutigen Zeit auseinandersetzt.
Wir lesen gemeinsam die Romane "Das amerikanische Hospital" (2010), "Karlmann" (2007), "Vaterjahre" (2014) und "Der Idiot des 21. Jahrhunderts" (2018).
Da von diesen Roman einzig "Karlmann" als Taschenbuch erschienen ist, rate ich den Teilnehmer*innen, rechtzeitig nach gebrauchten Exemplaren zu suchen, z.B. über die Internetportale ZVAB und Amazon.

Am Anfang der Lehrveranstaltung wird die Lektürekenntnis von Kleebergs Roman "Das amerikanische Hospital" voraugesetzt.
