Anknüpfend an Inhalte der sportsoziologischen Grundlagenvorlesung und unter Rekurs auf die dort eingenommene Theorieperspektive beabsichtigt die Veranstaltung, dem Prozess der Veränderung des Sinnzusammenhanges Sport und seiner organisatorischen Verfasstheit nachzuspüren. Werden hierzu sowohl ausgewählte historische wie aktuelle Phänomene des Wandels der Sportlandschaft in den Blick genommen - wobei das Augenmerk einesteils den tradierten Organisationen Verein und Verband, andernteils aber auch "unorganisierteren" oder komerziellen Formen aktueller Bewegungskultur gilt -, wird interessierten Studierenden in begrenztem Umfang auch immer die Möglichkeit zu eigener thematischer Schwerpunktsetzung gegeben.
