239680 Mild kontextsensitive Charakterisierungen natürlicher Sprache (S) (SoSe 2012)

Der formale Typ der "Phrasenstrukturgrammatik" erlaubt in einfacher Weise eine Unterscheidung vier verschiedener Untertypen, mit deren Hilfe eine aufsteigende Hierarchie von Sprachklassen etablierbar ist: regulär - kontextfrei - kontextsensitiv - rekursiv aufzählbar.

Es scheint argumentierbar, dass natürliche Sprachen aus formalsprachlicher Perspektive nicht allgemein in den kontextfreien Bereich fallen. Jedoch scheint gleichzeitig ein sehr eingeschränkter Ausschnitt der Kontextsensitivität (Kontextsensitivität als der nächst größere Bereich innerhalb der Hierarchie) zur Charakterisierung natürlicher Sprachen zu genügen. Dies führte zur Begriffsbildung "Milde Kontextsensitivität".

Ziel des Seminars ist es, zunächst die notwendigen formalen Grundlagen zu wiederholen, um anschließend die erweiterten Beschreibungsmöglichkeiten verschiedener, in der Literatur vorgeschlagener mild kontextsensitiver Zugänge genauer zu betrachten.
