Organisationen – ob nun Unternehmen, Parteien oder Universitäten – stehen heute unter medialer Dauerbeobachtung. In der massenmedial vermittelten Öffentlichkeit sehen sie sich mit unterschiedlichen, z.T. konfligierenden Anforderungen und Erwartungen konfrontiert. Viele Organisationen haben deshalb Spezialisten (PR-Abteilungen), die die Medien bzw. entsprechende Anforderungen beobachten und für die eigene Organisation in anschlussfähige Mitteilungen übersetzen. Zusätzlich übernehmen sie die Aufgabe, ihre Organisation in den (Massen-)Medien möglichst gut aussehen zu lassen. In dem Seminar werden zur Öffentlichkeitsarbeit von Organisationen ausgewählte Texte untersucht und diskutiert.
