Die Veranstaltung führt in die Grundbegriffe und -probleme der modernen Philosophie des Geistes ein. Sie zerfällt in drei große Themenblöcke:
1. Leib-Seele-Problem: Wie ist das Verhältnis von Geist und Gehirn methodisch und ontologisch zu beschreiben? Hier stehen vor allem Identitätstheorie und Funktionalismus im Vordergrund.
2. Phänomenales Bewusstsein und Qualia: Was ist das Wesen subjektiven und bewussten Erlebens?
3. Intentionalität und mentale Repräsentation: Wie lassen sich die Gehalte mentaler Zustände theoretisch erfassen?
Anforderungen für den Erwerb einer Leistungsbescheinigung bzw. eines Leistungsnachweises:
Eine Leistungsbescheinigung (BA-, MA-, Magister- oder Lehramt-Studiengang) wird für ausgearbeitete Referate ausgestellt.
