Der Schlaganfall ist eine der häufigsten schweren Erkrankungen; etwa 200.000 Bundesbürger erleiden jährlich einen Schlaganfall. Und obwohl das Risiko, einen zerebralen Insult zu erleiden, mit zunehmendem Alter steigt, trifft es immer mehr auch jüngere Menschen.
Nach einer Einführung in die Ätiologie des Schlaganfalls sollen verschiedene Störungsbilder sowie die jeweiligen diagnostischen und rehabilitativen Maßnahmen vorgestellt werden. Dazu gehören Sehstörungen, Aufmerksamkeitsstörungen, Gedächtnisstörungen, Störungen exekutiver Funktionen, Beeinträchtigungen des intellektuellen Leistungsniveaus sowie affektive Störungen.
