Geosystem, Biosystem, Anthroposystem.
Schwerpunkt des Seminars ist u.a. die Ökosystemforschung in einem multidimensionalen geografischen Gefüge. Inhalte sind axiomatische Grundsätze, Disziplingeschichte im Kontext des Paradigmenwechsels, Ökosystemhierarchien, Komplexitäts-, Zeit-, Raumskalen und ökosystemare Funktionen. Zudem werden Ansätze der Stadtökologie und der „Novel Ecosystems“ diskutiert.
Zum Thema „Landschaftsökologie“ werden im Seminar theoretische Hintergründe und verschiedene Methoden vermittelt. Aktuelle landschaftsökologische Forschungsarbeiten werden mit Hilfe gezielter Beiträge (Leistungsnachweis: Referat) aus wissenschaftlichen Zeitschriften aufgearbeitet, präsentiert und diskutiert.
