Internationale Studien zeigen, dass Gesamtschulsysteme dem dreigliedrigen Bildungswesen Deutschlands weitaus überlegen sind. Langes, gemeinsames Lernen statt früher Auslese, individuelle Förderung statt Notendruck und Drohung mit Abstieg in eine minder angesehene Schulform bedeuten ein sozial gerechtes und leistungsfähiges Bildungssystem.
Im Seminar werden wir uns mit der historischen Entwicklung des Gesamtschulgedankens, mit spezifischen pädagogischen Konzepten sowie mit international vergleichenden Länderberichten auseinandersetzen. Abschließend beleuchten wir die Chancen zur Strukturreform des deutschen Schulwesens.
