Das Modul besteht aus der Vorlesung "Grundlagen der strukturellen Genomforschung" (209214) und diesem Praktikum "Genomforschung I". Die vorgesehenen LP beziehen sich auf beide Veranstaltungen. Die Vorlesung "Grundlagen der strukturellen Genomforschung" vermittelt das nötige Basiswissen im Bereich der strukturellen Genomforschung bei Pro- und Eukaryoten. Aufbauend auf der Vorlesung sollen in dem Praktikum die methodischen Grundlagen zum Verständnis der DNA-Sequenzierung und der Auswertung von DNA-Sequenzen mit Sequenzverarbeitungsprogrammen gelegt werden. Daran anknüpfend sollen Sequenzanalysen mit Hilfe von Datenbankvergleichen und ausgewählten Verfahren der Bioinformatik vorgenommen werden. Voraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche Teilnahme am Modul ist die fristgerechte Abgabe eines ausführlichen Praktikumsprotokolls. Leistungskontrolle: Abschlussklausur [Lf: n; 50: n; Fs: n]
