In dem Seminar werden grundlegende Fragen der sozialen Kategorie Geschlecht als einer zentralen Dimension von Heterogenität und Differenz sowie sozialer Ungleichheit erarbeitet. Weiterhin werden wir die aktuelle Debatte um die Benachteiligung von Jungen in der Schule näher beleuchten. Zudem rekonstruieren wir die „Koedukationsdebatte“ und ausgewählte erziehungswissenschaftlichen Diskussionslinien und Forschungsergebnisse über Geschlechtertrennung und Geschlechterdifferenz im Schulalltag. Ausgelotet werden Perspektiven für einen integrierten Blick auf die miteinander in Wechselwirkung stehenden Heterogenitätsdimensionen Geschlecht, kultureller Hintergrund, Klasse und Behinderung und ihre Relevanz für (sonder-)pädagogische Fragestellungen.
