Ziele:
- Lesen und verstehen englischer Publikationen
- Erarbeitung einer Richtlinie zum wissenschaftlichen Schreiben im Englischen.
- Erarbeitung englischer Fachbegriffe und deren Übersetzung
Die Erarbeitung der angestrebten Ziele erfolgt hauptsächlich über die Bearbeitung von Publikationen und wissenschaftlichen Texten aus der Chemie und Biochemie.

English for chemists
Goals:
- Reading and understanding of scientific texts
- Overview of guiding principles how to write a scientific text in English correctly
- Translation of technical terms into german
The given goals are achieved by examining scientific texts containing chemical and biochemical topics.
Class language is English (Level B2+ of the Common European Framework). The course includes all four skills of English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
Students attending regularly, participating actively in class and completing the exercises and tasks will be awarded 3 ECTS.

Teilnehmer werden entsprechend der Fachzugehörigkeit und ihrem individuellen Leistungsniveau ausgewählt.
Bei Teilnehmerüberhang entscheidet das Los.Mindestens 6 Jahre Schulenglisch werden vorausgesetzt.
