230605 Rupi Kaur and the phenomenon of “instapoetics” (StGr) (WiSe 2019/2020)

Contents, comment

Rupi Kaur is a bestselling author and illustrator, with her two collections of poetry being “milk and honey” and “the sun and her flowers”.
In this student-led study group we will be discussing her and her work, as well as looking into the phenomenon that has been dubbed "instapoetics”. We will be looking into a variety of themes addressed in her poems and analyzing how and why she became so popular. Students will get the chance to transfer their knowledge of instapoetics and create their own poems by the end of the seminar.
