Werte prägen den wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisprozess in vielfacher Weise. Insbesondere kommt dabei epistemischen, ökonomischen, ästhetischen, ethischen und sozialen Werten eine große Bedeutung zu. Die Frühjahrsschule wird diskutieren, inwiefern und in welchem Ausmaß Wissenschaft und Werte sich wechselseitig beeinflussen.
Die Veranstaltung wird organisiert von M. Carrier (Bielefeld), C. Debru (ENS, Paris) und J. Lenhard (Bielefeld). Lehrende aus Paris und Bielefeld werden gemeinsam Kurseinheiten anbieten für ein Publikum aus französischen und deutschen Studierenden. Die Schulsprache ist Englisch.Im Masterstudiengang erfolgt der Erwerb von Leistungspunkten ausschließlich auf Modulebene.

Diese Veranstaltung richtet sich in erster Linie an Masterstudierende im Fach Philosophie. BA-Studierende der Philosophie oder andere Studierende können nach persönlicher und rechtzeitiger Rücksprache mit dem Veranstalter zugelassen werden. Im Bedarfsfall kann die Veranstaltung (mit 3 LP) für ein BA-Hauptmodul angerechnet werden.
