Gegenstand der Vorlesung sind strafrechtliche Sanktionen aus rechtlicher und kriminologischer Sicht und Grundzüge des Strafzumessungsrechts sowie Grundzüge der strafjuristischen Entscheidung. Besondere Behandlung finden Diversion (Einstellungen des Strafverfahrens aus Opportunitätsgründen), die strafrechtlichen Sanktionen, Fragen der Schuld, der forensischen Psychiatrie, des Maßregelsystems und Fragen der Kriminalprognose. Weiter wird das Sanktionensystem des Jugendstrafrechts in den Grundzügen behandelt.
Literatur: Meier, Strafrechtliche Sanktionen, 2001; Weiterführende Literatur wird in der Veranstaltung bekannt gegeben.
Die Vorlesung wird als Blockveranstaltung am 11. und 12.6. sowie 18. und 19.6. angeboten.
