Durch die Profilbezogenen Praxisstudien (PPS) erhalten die Studierenden auf der Basis ihrer bisher erlangten sportwissenschaftlichen Kenntnisse einen vertieften Eindruck in die Berufswelt der Sportwissenschaftlerin bzw. des Sportwissenschaftlers. Dabei können entweder andere Berufsfelder als in den OPS gewählt werden oder bereits geknüpfte Kontakte intensiviert werden. Die Organisation kann grundsätzlich wiederum frei gewählt werden, sofern eine inhaltliche Anbindung an das Berufsfeld eines Sportwissenschaftlers gewährleistet ist. Bei Bedarf können Adressen zu verschiedenen Berufsfeldern bei der Praktikumsbeauftragten erfragt werden.
Ein Einführungs- und ein Auswertungsseminar sind für die PPS verpflichtend und werden per Aushang bekannt gegeben.
