Die Vorlesung wird mit einem Überblick zur Frühzeit Israels (1200-925 v.Chr.) einsetzen, dem eine Einführung in die Exegese historischer Erzählungen folgt. Im Mittelpunkt wird dann die Analyse der biblischen Überlieferungen zu Hannah, Samuel und Saul unter historischen, literarischen und theologischen Aspekten stehen.
