Im Rahmen eines von der VW-Stiftung geförderten Forschungsvorhabens sollen die Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft in der Wissensgesellschaft beleuchtet werden. Dabei geht es zum einen darum, welche epistemischen und institutionellen Bedingungen die Gesellschaft der Wissenschaft auferlegt, und zum anderen umgekehrt darum, welche Auswirkungen die Wissenschaft auf die Gesellschaft hat.
