Ein Großteil zeitgenössischer Philosophie wird in Form von Aufsätzen produziert. Die Veranstaltung soll das Verständnis dieser Art von Texten: zeitgenössische philosophische Aufsätze, üben, und zwar an Aufsätzen aus dem Bereich der angewandten Ethik. Die Studierenden schreiben kleinere schriftliche Arbeiten, in denen sie einzelne Aufsätze analysieren. Diese Arbeiten werden im Detail besprochen und gegebenenfalls überarbeitet. Die erfolgreiche Teilnahme wird bewiesen durch eine bestimmte Anzahl gelungener Textanalysen.

Eine Sammlung der Aufsätze, die das Material für die Analysen bilden, wird zu Beginn des Semesters in Kopie bereitgestellt.
