Die Entwicklung von jugendlicher Delinquenz wird soziologisch und kriminologisch im Zeit- sowie im Altersverlauf untersucht. Die Panelstudie 'Kriminalität in der modernen Stadt' (Crime in the Modern City, CrimoC) untersucht seit 2002 unter Duisburger Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen die Entstehung und den Verlauf von devianten und delinquenten Verhaltensweisen (siehe für Informationen über die Studie www.crimoc.org)

In der Lehrforschung sollen theoretische und empirische Gesichtspunkte kriminalsoziologischer Forschung behandelt werden. Die TeilnehmerInnen der Lehrforschung sollen eigene, theoretisch abgeleitete Fragestellungen entwickeln und mit ausgewählten Quer- und Längsschnittdatensätzen aus der Studie 'Kriminalität in der modernen Stadt' bearbeiten.

Requirements for participation, required level

Ausreichende Kenntnisse mit den Statistikprogrammpaketen STATA/SPSS sowie fundierte Kenntnisse in multivariaten Analyseverfahren sollten vorhanden sein.
