Computational processing of human behavior has made great progress in the last decade and is used more and more in many academic and economic contexts. However, many systems contain problematic biases regarding gender, cultural background, age, or other personal attributes. In this seminar, you will get to know different computational methods of behavior processing and their susceptibility for different types of biases. Based on current academic paper, you will learn and discuss how to detect biases and how to make systems more robust against biases.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
