In diesem Modul werden die Teilnehmer zwei der am wenigsten untersuchten, aber deswegen nicht weniger interessanten, Kommunikationskanäle kennenlernen, nämlich die Kommunikation mittels chemischer und elektrischer Signale. Bei beiden Modellen speitl aber auch die Verhaltensbeobachtung eine zentrale Rolle. Studierende werden Grundlagen der Verhaltensbeobachtungen, Aufnahme und Analyse elektrischer und chemischer Signale vermittelt. In Gruppen werden Fragestellungen theoretisch erarbeitet, soweit wir möglich durchgeführt und ausgewertet. Vorkenntnisse im Bereich von Verhaltensbeobachtungen sind wünschenswert, aber nicht zwingend notwendig. Außerdem werden Fachpublikationen aufgearbeitet und präsentiert.
