Organisationen basieren auf Regelwerken und Erwartungsstrukturen, die im Hinblick auf die lebensweltlichen Handlungskontexte der Individuen so etwas wie "robuste Abstraktionen" darstellen. Diese Abstraktionen betreffen etwa das Absehen vom konkreten "Tun" der Individuen aus der Perspektive kapitalistischer Leistungs- und Verwertungsinteressen, aber auch Selbstbeschreibungen des organisatorischen Handelns, die - wie immer auch notwendige - "Simplifizierungen" darstellen. Diese Kritik von "Organisation" ist daher nicht von ungefähr immer auch ein wesentliches Thema der Organisationssoziologie gewesen, zu der deren verschiedene "Schulen" einen je spezifischen Beitrag geleistet haben. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, ausgehend von einer historisch-kritischen Perspektive auf "Organisation" eine Art Leitfaden zum Verständnis der modernen Organisationsgesellschaft in die Hand zu bekommen.
