Die aus dem Institut für Sozialforschung hervorgegangene Frankfurter Schule gehört mittlerweile zu den großen philosophischen Legenden des zurückliegenden Jahrhunderts. Bekannt ist diese Schule vornehmlich durch ihre kritische Gesellschaftstheorie, die sich in weiten Zügen auf den Marxismus und auf Freuds Psychoanalyse stützt. In dieser Veranstaltung soll es darum gehen, vor dem Hintergrund dieser Gesellschaftstheorie die politische Theorie der Frankfurter Schule zu extrahieren und zur Diskussion zu stellen.
Requirements for participation, required level

Bereitschaft zur Übernahme eines Kurzreferats (max. 15 Minuten). Teilnahme an der Marx-Freud-Veranstaltung aus dem vorangegangenen Sommersemester erwünscht, aber nicht zwingend.

Die Seminarliteratur wird zu Semesterbeginn in Form eines Readers zur Anschaffung bereitgestellt.
