Karl Marx und Sigmund Freud gehören zu den Autoren, die unserem Verständnis von uns selbst und von unserer Geschichte einige gewaltige Modernisierungsschübe verpaßt haben. Dies zeigt sich nicht zuletzt darin, daß viele ihrer Gedanken mittlerweile ganz selbstverständlich akzeptiert werden, wobei oft gar nicht mehr bemerkt wird, daß sie aus den Theorien von Marx und Freud herrühren. Diesen Gedanken, ihren systematischen Zusammenhängen und ihrer Plausibilität bei näherer Betrachtung soll in dieser interdisziplinären Veranstaltung nachgegangen werden. Dabei konzentrieren wir uns auf die im Seminartitel genannten Konzepte der Entfremdung, der Ideologie und der Rationalisierung.
