Eine nicht geringe Anzahl von Schülern weist im Übergang Primarstufe zur Sekundarstufe z.T. noch erhebliche Defizite in grundlegenden Bereichen der Orthographie auf. In vielen Fällen können diese orthographischen Mängel im Laufe der Sekundarstufe I nicht behoben werden.
Ziel des Seminars ist es, sprachstrukturelle und erwerbstheoretische Aspekte der deutschen Orthographie zu vermitteln und die angehenden Lehrer auf diesen in der Sekundarstufe oft vernachlässigten Bereich des Deutschunterrichts und die damit verbundenen Anforderungen an die Orthographiedidaktik in dieser Schulstufe vorzubereiten. Diskutiert werden dabei ausgesuchte Bereiche bzw. Aspekte der deutschen Orthographie, bevor auf dieser Grundlage und auf der Basis empirischer Befunde aus der vorliegenden Forschung didaktische Konsequenzen gezogen werden.
