Das Seminar dient dazu, die in der Vorlesung vermittelten Kenntnisse über technische Verfahren des Umweltschutzes und Messmethoden des Umwelt- und Gesundheitsschutzes zu vertiefen und die interdisziplinäre Kommunikation zu üben. Die Studierenden sollen nach dem Seminar in der Lage sein, ein Problem des technischen Umwelt-, Arbeits- und Gesundheitsschutzes selbstständig zu bearbeiten.
Im Seminar werden einzelne Verfahren der Umweltschutztechnik aus den Themen der Vorlesung ausgewählt, in Gruppen bearbeitet und durch Seminarvorträge präsentiert. Die Besichtigung von Anlagen und Seminarbeiträge, in die die Sicht der Betreiber und Aufsichtsbehörden eingeht, ergänzen das Seminar.
