230124 Corpus (based) Phonology (S) (SoSe 2021)

The recent Pandemic has highlighted the need for online and corpus based methods of data collection. While using these methods, the analysts need to be not only aware of the available platforms of data collection but also the limitations that every platform puts on data analysis. In this course, we will discuss the potential and pitfalls involved in using online platforms and corpora to carry out phonological analyses.

Understanding of the basic concepts of phonology.
