Dieses Praktikum soll dazu dienen, biochemische Kenntnisse experimentell zu vertiefen. Der Fokus des Praktikums liegt dabei auf Untersuchungen zur enzymkatalysierten Produktion von Wasserstoff, Lipiden und Pigmenten. Als Untersuchungsobjekte werden hierfür einzellige Mikroalgen, insbesondere der Modellorganismus Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, verwendet. Methodisch werden chromatographische, spektroskopische und immunochemische Methoden sowie enzymbasierte Assays eingesetzt, um die zu Grunde liegenden physiologischen Prozesse zu charakterisieren.
