231005 Genres, Authors, Periods (S) (WiSe 2021/2022)

Short comment

Schwerpunkt: British Studies

Contents, comment

The British Studies Basisseminar BM 2.3 "Genres, Authors, Periods" provides an overview of the periods of British literary history and the main genres. Each lecturer will give his or her BM 2.3 (or "GAP" as we will call them...) a personal focus (on poetry, drama or narrative prose), but they are all intended to help you practice reading literary texts more closely with the help of the tools you learn in the new BM1 (Analysing and Interpreting) lecture. The Studienleistung will be an essay.

Requirements for participation, required level

It makes sense to attend the lecture "Analysing and Interpreting British Literary Texts" (BM 2.1) together with Genres, Author, Periods. But you should not do the GAP course before you have done the AILT lecture.
