Unter der Leitfrage, was guter Unterricht sei, sollen in einer kritischen Auseinandersetzung zehn Merkmale guten Unterrichts erschlossen und geprüft werden. Gleichzeitig wird der Blick auf die verschiedenen Wirkungszusammenhänge und -felder gelenkt, in denen Unterricht stattfindet. Dabei sind Überlegungen zu den Dimensionen Zielsetzung, Inhalt, Prozess, Handlungszusammenhang, Sozialstruktur und Zeitplanung im Unterricht vorgesehen.
