Das Kolloquium Qualitative Methoden richtet sich an Masterstudierende, die ihre empirische Arbeit mit qualitativen Methoden der Sozialforschung durchführen oder eine theoretische Arbeit zur qualitativen Methodologie oder dem interpretativen Paradigma verfassen. Wir diskutieren Forschungsprojekte in der Phase der Konzeptualisierung und setzen uns in der Phase der Analyse detailliert mit empirischem Material auseinander. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf ethnographischen, konversationsanalytischen und visuellen Verfahren, aber auch andere qualitative Methoden sind willkommen.
Die Veranstaltung zielt darauf, empirisches Material mit methodologischen Fragen und theoretischen Bezügen zu verbinden. Das Kolloquium ist als Forschungswerkstatt konzipiert, das heißt, die Teilnehmenden bilden eine gemeinsame Interpretationsgruppe, die gemeinsam voranschreitet. Daher ist regelmäßige Teilnahme notwendig.
Die Teilnehmenden verpflichten sich zu Vor- und Nachbereitung der Sitzungen, darüber hinaus zu regelmäßiger Teilnahme (was auch bedeutet, dass man sich für Abwesenheit entschuldigt).
