Das Seminar beschäftigt sich mit der Geschichte und der heutigen (Selbst-)Darstellung der Hauptstadt, eingeschlossen sind Themen wie Berlin im Film, in der darstellenden Kunst, in der Literatur, Erinnerungsorte in Berlin.
Eine mehrtägige Studienfahrt wird voraussichtlich Anfang Dezember 2010 stattfinden; Schlüsselqualifikations-Punkte können durch Organisation der Berlin-Fahrt (Koordination, Unterkunft, Stadterkundung, Erinnerungsorte, Museen, ...) erworben werden.

Voraussetzung der Teilnahme sind Überblickskenntnisse zur deutschen Geschichte seit 1871 und genauere Kenntnisse zur gesamtdeutschen Geschichte seit 1945 – ich empfehle die Lektüre von Langewiesche (1992), Wolfrum (2007), Weber (2004) oder Mählert (2007).
